About Carrollton, TX
Carrollton is a well-established suburb of roughly 135,000 residents spanning parts of Dallas, Denton, and Collin counties. Historic Downtown Carrollton, near the Rosemeade area, still centers around the A.W. Perry Homestead Museum, a restored 1909 farmhouse on the site where the Perry family settled after arriving from Illinois in 1844. The property was designated a Texas Historical Landmark in 1977 and completed a fresh restoration in 2025.
Nearby, Josey Ranch Lake Park’s 100-acre greenbelt centers around a small lake with a fishing pier, connecting to a sports complex and playground that make it a popular family destination. Carrollton is also a regional transit hub: Trinity Mills Station, which opened in 2010, is the southern terminus of the DCTA A-train and a stop on the DART Green Line, giving residents rail access toward both Denton and downtown Dallas.
